GramBase: Sell Subscriptions & Digital Goods on Telegram

GramBase helps operators manage and monetize a Telegram community: products, payments, delivery, paid access and customer support in one workflow. I built it to make those recurring jobs easier to run, while keeping the channel and bot under the operator’s control.

This is a description of the current documented commerce workflow. It is not a claim that every future AI assistant, attribution metric or growth feature is already available.

Start with a Stars-paid group or channel

The clearest starting offer is one community with a stated access period. An educator might offer a study group; a researcher might offer a private analysis channel. These are examples of offers, not customer case studies or earnings claims.

Create Products → Add Product → Paid Community. Choose the connected Telegram group or channel, add a description, and configure a pricing tier. A sample “30 days — ⭐500” tier states the duration and exact Stars amount. The example is not a recommended price.

Enable Telegram Stars for the tier. Stars amounts are whole numbers, and the native Stars price is independent of any USD price. A Stars-only tier does not need a crypto Payment Profile. Add your connected bot as an administrator in the destination community so it can perform the access workflow.

When the product is active, add it to a storefront and share the generated link. Buyers can browse through a Bot Menu in chat or a Mini App page inside Telegram. The paid community overview explains the use case; the product reference covers the setup controls.

The manual work behind a paid community

A purchase is easy to lose track of when its evidence lives in one DM, its invite in another and its expiry in a spreadsheet. A payment screenshot does not prove an order settled. A paid order does not prove the buyer received the file or joined the right group.

I separate those jobs: identify the buyer, record the order, confirm payment, deliver the intended item or invite and track the access period. Community leadership versus manual administration explains when automation can help and which exceptions still need a person.

Products and a storefront

GramBase supports Digital Goods and Paid Community products. A digital good delivers once; a paid-community offer grants access to selected groups/channel for a configured period or lifetime offer. It does not provide a separate physical-goods or service product type.

Add active products to a storefront and choose a Bot Menu or Mini App shopping surface. You can share the storefront for browsing or a direct product link when a post already explains the offer. There is no multi-item cart; another purchase is a separate flow. See product setup, storefront setup and the shop-bot tutorial.

A Mini App is a shopping interface, not proof that every business model is implemented. The Mini Apps guide distinguishes model ideas from current features. Chat-native commerce explains the buying experience.

Stars checkout and supported wallet infrastructure

Digital goods/services sold inside Telegram bots and Mini Apps must use Telegram Stars. In GramBase, set a whole-number Stars amount per product or subscription tier; a Stars-only offer needs no crypto Payment Profile.

GramBase records Telegram’s confirmed payment and then runs delivery. Stars balances, rewards and withdrawals follow Telegram/Fragment conditions. They do not arrive directly in the merchant’s stablecoin wallet at checkout. Use the Stars setup tutorial and price/reward tool to understand the configuration and economics.

GramBase also has supported USDT/USDC transfer infrastructure. In that flow, money goes to the configured seller-controlled address; GramBase checks the transfer without holding the funds or private key. This applies only where the sales context permits that payment method. Product switches do not create a Stars-rule exemption, global availability or risk-free settlement. Digital delivery with visible results

A Digital Goods product uses one primary method:

• Message: ordered blocks of text, buttons and file attachments.
• Folder: the current contents of a resource folder, including later updates.
• Inventory: a unique line such as a code or license key for each purchase.

Resources live in libraries backed by a Telegram channel you own. Limit-forwarding/saving controls reduce easy sharing, but screenshots and copying remain possible. Do not assume one-time download links, self-destruct timers or a current GramBase PPV product.

Delivery documentation covers setup, upload limits and recovery. A paid order can have pending, sent or error delivery. Retry is available for an eligible failed delivery and does not take another payment.

Paid access, reminders and renewal

GramBase tracks subscription expiry and sends reminders before access ends. After payment it sends the configured private invite; the buyer still needs to join. Periodic expiry checks attempt removal and invite revocation. Missing permissions and Telegram exceptions can prevent removal, so the recorded entitlement and actual membership need checking when they differ.

Renewal means another purchase. GramBase does not automatically charge a Stars balance, card or wallet. Telegram has recurring APIs, but that is distinct from the current GramBase implementation. Customer operations and what I am building next

The documented support inbox helps the operator manage customer conversations around the bot. Customer records and tags organize customer context. Use those current capabilities without assuming predictive AI churn scores, a fully attributed renewal-rate metric, MRR/LTV or post-to-purchase attribution are already available.

Account-side AI assistance is a direction I care about: selected customer DMs, useful purchase context, suggested replies and clear human control. The Secretary Bots guide explains the official Telegram surface and separates proposed workflows from current product promises.

Ownership means replaceable dependencies

You control your channel and bot, and can retain the content and records you are entitled to keep. That makes an access tool easier to replace. It does not make Telegram independent of platform rules, or turn every group member into a personal contact you can message without consent.

Keep a recovery contact route and records of current entitlements. If changing tools, test a small cohort and avoid conflicting expiry systems. Audience ownership describes practical portability with the dependencies and responsibilities made explicit.

Frequently asked questions

Is GramBase free?

There are free credits to start. Order processing consumes credits based on 2.5% of the internal USD valuation, bounded at 5-2,000 credits per order. Other billable actions can consume credits. See current pricing. Stars reward and withdrawal conditions are separate from tool usage.

Does GramBase support conventional card checkout?

It does not provide a traditional Stripe or PayPal checkout. Buyers acquire Stars through Telegram’s supported methods; Stars are the digital-payment rail, not a direct fiat payout to the merchant.

Does payment guarantee delivery or access?

No. Check the order’s payment state, delivery log and subscription state. Test permissions and joining before launch, and keep a support path for failures.

Is every planned AI feature live?

No. Refer to the current documentation for implemented capabilities. Directional assistant ideas are not a promise that an account-side integration or all proposed automation is ready.
